Currently owned by Irving Glenn, the mysterious grimoire was found in a part of the Lycaeum library that contained tomes that were forbidden or otherwise off-limits. Desperate for a lead in his research on the miasma, Irving claimed the grimoire as his own — and has found it knows things a book has no sense knowing.
Known Properties of the Grimoire
- It always has blank pages at the back.
- The pages at the front contain a wealth of knowledge, including prior questions asked, but if you cannot find an answer, you can flip to a blank page and write your question. The Grimoire will respond on its own by writing back in turn.
- It has claimed that its prior owner was Genevieve Gallo, but Irving doesn’t know that name.
- It predates the miasmic age.
Ten Questions, Ten Answers
- What does this map mean, and how does it work? (referring to the map in the library map room)
- Troop movements, according to the grimoire. The playing pieces likely represent troops or soldiers, and the pieces on the map move corresponding to something similar in their possession via sympathetic magic.
