Quirk: Robot — Serafina’s artificial body protects her from the effects of the miasma, as well as making her resistant to earth magic and immune to poison; however, you’d never be able to tell from looking at her that she’s anything other than an enthusiastic young human girl.
Background
Serafina was created at some point in Orologio by Galeran Avelot, as a “solution to the miasma problem.” When the Mechatriarchy of Orologio decided to pursue their own solution that Galeran deemed too dangerous, he sent Serafina — along with a letter explaining this in not-detailed terms — to Dr. Collodi.
Serafina came wandering in from out of the miasma one day, mysteriously unharmed; while she was mistrusted by the residents of Bluewick at first, she is now generally accepted — if nothing else, for her willingness to pitch in and do her part for the town.
Fun Facts
- When she came out of the miasma, Serafina had a letter to Dr. Collodi from Galeran Avelot. She didn’t read it at any point before delivering it.
- Serafina lives at the inn. She likes to cook, but she isn’t very good at it.
- This doesn’t stop Mero from eating it.
- While in Nuono, however, she learned how to make sushi by trial and error.
- Serafina has a strong negative (sad) reaction to Orologio. This is unusual, as she doesn’t usually have strong emotional reactions to much of anything.
- Serafina can either understand what Mero is saying, or can guess it really well.
- Serafina sinks to the bottom of bodies of water naturally, but can choose to float.
- When viewed through the Lifestream Orb, Serafina’s soul energy appears tightly compacted in a single spot in the middle of her chest, rather than as a silhouette of her whole body like a human’s.
